Hi Giovani,
I can relate as there have been times in my career I felt stuck on this. My advice would be first identify the area you want mentorship in, personal, career, networking, building your business…it’s possible to have more than one mentor who focuses on a particular area. Identify a list of people you know directly or indirectly and then begin asking. I spent alot of time hoping someone would offer to mentor me or this would come organically and sometimes it does, but sometimes you need to ask. If you don’t know them directly, ask for a mutual connection to make the introduction. And make the ask personal. I once had someone ask me but it was an email that clearly went to a lot of people. I think that is less effective especially as for many, mentoring is a giving of a very valuable resource – time. Make it personal and then use the time wisely – follow up and follow through. We also have a helpful blog from one of our contributors, Matthew Pinto. https://findingtheway.com/what-it-takes-to-be-mentored/
